ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a well-known multinational retail chain with stores throughout the country, is looking for an experienced professional for the position of:
Public Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement Consultant (Ref. 5442/PASEC/ESS/GR)
The consultant will engage with regulatory bodies and organisations focusing on legislative and regulatory developments. He/she will proactively facilitate involvement in public discourse for timely information dissemination. The position will be based in Thessaloniki or Athens.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for identifying stakeholders, developing and implementing strategic engagement plans for effective involvement and relationship-building.
- Oversee the dynamic landscape of the retail industry while staying updated on related policy, legislative, and regulatory advancements
- Collect and report the key information in areas of policies related to the organization’s interests.
- Understand the political and legislative processes (including the mechanisms through which laws/regulations are drafted, discussed and introduced) in order to identify opportunities for the organization to present its views and provide targeted and practical solutions.
- Direct the creation of a comprehensive, business-driven public affairs strategy, targeting sustainability. Cultivate and manage relationships with key political, regulatory, and influential groups for proactive engagement in strategic initiatives.
- Represent the company and actively engage in public policy discussions within industry forums or specialized working groups dealing with critical issues.
- Collaborate with the corporate communications team to develop and implement campaigns. Support the Head of Communications and Corporate Responsibility and the CEO regarding strategic issues.
