IT Operations Technician

CompuForce Ltd , an Athens based Technology company,p roviding IT services for the Shipping industry for more than 20 years, is searching to recruit an IT Operations Technician. The right candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting Server Software, Network Components, End-user workstations and relevant applications on multiple operating systems and platforms by applying knowledge of software usage, features, and functions.

Basic Responsibilities

• Responsible for detailed support, software installations and problem solving
  
• Work as a member of support team & perform duties to maintain operability of workstations and peripheral equipment such as printers, servers & network appliances
• Work directly with clients and implementation teams
  
• Provide client status reports as needed
  
• Work effectively based on instructions & manuals & act independently to manage and coordinate resolution of issues

Mandatory

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong experience on Multiple OS and software application administration and installation
• Experience in performing software installations
• Knowledge of Computer Networks
• Knowledge of Open Source Operating systems
• Experience in performing System Architect tasks for various software solutions
• Previous experience with Help Desk will be considered an asset: Contact clients for support through different media channels; on-line support tickets, phone, email, and chat
• Good knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Good knowledge of IP Networks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in Greek and English
• Works well in a team oriented structure and be able to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and prioritize

• Ability to comprehend the details of complex system software
• Ability to redirect client inquiries, when appropriate to other functional areas with the appropriate level of information, to assist in resolving the client’s issue
• Experience in computer scripting or programming that may include formal language or scripting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to travel abroad
