Waiter (Ref: ES/W21)

• Responsible for offering guests of the lounge bar an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience
• Must be comfortable discussing food and spirits, wine choices with guests in detail
• Responsible for setting up tables, serving food and beverage to guests, and clearing/cleaning tables
• Provide an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options

Job Requirements:

• Have sound knowledge of spirits, beers, wine, cocktails and coffee
• Excellent communications skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Attention to detail and work in a fast paced, diverse work environment
• Candidate should hold valid work authorization for the EU
• Knowledge of a third language (i.e. German, French, Italian,etc.) will be valued accordingly
• Degree in Hospitality/Tourism is highly desirable
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and of at least one PMS software (ie. Protel,) and P.O.S. system
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Waiter/ess in a 5* multicultural hotel environment
• Knowledge of fine dining service standards and procedures
• Proactive, able to work efficiently under pressure, to make decisions and come up with effective solutions
• Hands-on approach, flexible, with a positive attitude
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
