Mission
As a Senior PL/SQL Developer you will need to build gradually a major understanding of the banking sector and card transactions in particular. Your mission is to support the teams with the development, design, test and implementation of complex database programs using Oracle and third-party tools. You will prioritise the demands and, if needed, delegate properly to the other team members to increase efficiencies. Your work entails quite complex projects with a great breadth of responsibility and discretion. You will be part of the developers’ team, but you will also work independently. Part of your role will be to support people migrate their mindset to Oracle from older technologies.
The jobholder will be responsible to:
- Review the demands of the business analysts and translate them into system functional specifications
- Assess user demands and aim to see which of those are reasonable and practical to be coded
- Develop, design, test and implement relatively complex database programs using Oracle and third-party tools
- Oversee the development of the people who are more junior in this technology and support the Manager to move forward
- Write clean code and be part of the reviews to provide the technological solutions to the issues
- Analyse third-party tools, check and evaluate new and upcoming technologies
